Maricka: The Election

Maricka is a tabletop board game for up to 4 players.

Each player picks one of four candidates to play as, and each player takes a turn moving influence across states of the fictional country of Maricka, which acts as a board. Players move different types of pieces, and can use their special candidate abilities to get an edge over the opposition.

All players have access to tactics, which are gained as they move through the board. Tactics allow players to influence the board and other players' tactics in various ways.

Have majority in 7 different states at the end of 2 of your consecutive turns and you win!

Meet your Candidates:

Born into a rich family with great Military Ties, the General has never had to train harder than he needed. But Leading a branch of the Country is simply not enough; His ruthless nature leads him wanton for power in its greatest form; President of a whole country. For the General, presidency means planning and tactics.  His signature ability reflects this, and helps him dig for the right tactic every turn.

If there is a Casino or gambling circuit in Maricka that isn't owned by The Governor, check again in a few days. The Underworld is run by the Governor's oppressive force, but his lust for power has made him emerge from the shadows, and he's using his ties to win as many states as he needs to run the country. For the Governor, presidency means people in your corner, and his signature ability allows him to stack voters in whichever state he sticks his hands in.

She's been in office multiple times, but never as its highest power. The Senator is a mere inches away from her goal, and her years in the limelight have skewed the public opinion in her favour. For the Senator, presidency means being a better option than the other guy.  Public Appeal allows her to prove herself in one state at a time, pushing out the competition.

At one point a Lawyer, the Warden knows the kind of scum that still live on the streets, and now as head of the prison complex, he knows how valuable their cheap labour is. For the Warden, presidency means Isolation and Suffocation, and gated Community allows him to cut off player routes that would otherwise let them overtake key states.
